What is Pilates?

Joseph Pilates created a unique system of movement back in the 20th century. He believed that Pilates would be great for whole body health: a workout for the mind, body and spirit. Pilates can help with body conditioning, strength, weight loss, improving mental well-being and improving mobility. It is a great workout for everyone- no matter the age, size, fitness level or workout goals.

What are the benefits of Pilates?

There are so many benefits of Pilates. These include weight loss, toning the body, increasing strength, improving posture and alignment, increasing flexibility, promotes mindfulness and it prevents injuries.

What should I wear to my lesson?

You should wear comfortable clothing that is loose and stretchy. We advise bare feet or socks with grips, and hair should be tied up.

What do I need to bring to my lesson?

Please bring your own mat to your Pilates session. However, on your first session, a mat can be provided for you. We provide all other equipment.

I haven't done Pilates before, does that matter?

No, our Pilates classes are designed to suit all abilities, ages and fitness levels. Anyone can learn Pilates!
